The well travelled White Red Kite |
The white red kite, pictured here sporting a new tag J6, was brought back from it's trip to Boston, Lincolnshire..
Raptor Rescue arrived here with the kite and it is now in our rehabilitation centre while it relearns how to fly.

The BBC plan to film the release the white red kite as they have followed its story to/from Lincolnshire and back to Wales.
The snow that fell last week did now amount to a lot and failed to cover the lower fields with much more than an inch. This soon melted off so there were few opportunities for photographers, hence the lack of an alert email.
Not all those brought to the Gigrin Rehabilitation centre make it back to the wild.
Just this week, a kite was brought in. It had been in collision with a car, some 20 miles from here, and had an obviously broken wing..
I took the bird to Harfon Vets, in Llanidloes, where it was x-rayed. The break was a very bad compound fracture of the 'elbow' and was untreatable.
It is the policy, of the welsh kite trust, that birds that cannot be nursed back to health are put down.
On a happier note, the other thing that has been taking my attention from this blog/news page.. I'm getting married, and its now just a few months away so there's lots to do..
Congrats Chris!!!!
