Red kites for Ireland - for the last time

A red kite chick, not yet playing dead when approached...
Red kite chick are once again being collected from the Welsh countryside for repatriation to the emerald isle. This is the fifth, and final year that red kites will be exported to Ireland.
Over the past 4 years there have been 2 weeks of frantic activity as nests are sought with multiple healthy chicks, and the next weeks will no different.

An update on progress will be here after the weekend.
