Springwatch come to Gigrin Farm

On Monday 1st June 2009, at 8:00pm BBC Springwatch presented by Simon King, will be broadcasting live from Gigrin Farm.

If you watch Springwatch next Monday you'll see an amazing sight as these beautiful birds descend for their lunch.
Simon King has his 1,000 frames a second camera in action and this is something not to be missed.

I've set my system to record the broadcast as I doubt very much that I'll ever see this kind of footage again.
There may be very few kites around as their body clock will have told them that its time to roost.

  1. Furious texting to family and friends ensured that everyone knew that Gigrin's kites had hit the big time on Springwatch. Absolutely awesome footage of the kites, and you could tell by his reaction that Simon King was completely blown away by what he was witnessing. Well done to the Powell family for playing such a huge part in the regeneration of these magnificent birds. It has been our privilege and pleasure to visit the farm for almost 20 years - long may it last, spending time here has kept us sane!
