Red kite - Rutland to Cornwall!

David Flumm, of the Marazion Marsh RSPB Nature Reserve wrote to me to report:

"On 13 April 2010 a Red Kite flew east 13:50 - 14:05 hrs over our reserve at Marazion Marsh RSPB Nature Reserve, Cornwall

It showed a bright white wing tag on the left wing and a duller one on the right wing.

From your web site it is clearly from the Rutland area but I am not absolutely sure of the tag colour on the right wing so its year of birth remains in question."

So, these colourful raptors are certainly covering the ground these days..

We are currently seeing about 200 coming in for food and the sunshine continues to show off their wonderful colours.
