We have been feeding these beautiful birds for 16 years now, but today, I still found myself in awe as the sky filled with red kites and they dived on mass for the food just a very few yards from where I was still putting it out.
Snow on the hills and frost on the trees made for a wintery scene so hundreds of hungry kites had headed for Gigrin!
Meat supplies are once again a headache - Supplies are just keeping up with the daily feed but we need to build up a surplus before the Christmas shut down.. To that end we are in talks with a 3rd supplier and hope to have something concrete sorted out in the next week or so.
